Luna padded through the forest walking towards the fire but gets a bit distracted. Following after Breeze a small patch of flowers caught her eyes, striding to the patch of flowers she found there were orange, white, pink and red tulips and a single allium as a center piece as it's a bit taller. Having picked the flowers Luna smiles as she pouches them and she catches up with Breeze. Passing through a thicker part of the forest they find a familiar face next to a burning tree which gives Luna more flashbacks of the park. “I guess you were right about Archangel and fire,” Breeze said with a chuckle "Guess so" Luna chuckled back. “Well long time no see, You found us rather quickly, I’m surprised you were able to put up a signal to find us easily.” "Yeah" Luna adds to Breeze's surprise and pauses for a moment before adding "Also uhh... Got a vendetta against trees or something?" Luna asks as a joke.

More focused on playing with the new toy that was logic in this world, Hohiro absently followed behind the others as he first made planks, a crafting table, and then a few sticks. The digital part of his consciousness began to notice some information become available to him. He figured that Breeze or Luna would stop him from hurting himself if he ran into a tree, so he turned his attention inward as they walked and discovered that in addition to the inventory system, there was something called a "recipe book". A quick glance made him realize that there was a lot of potential options for things that could be made, just from the materials he had on hand.
He "returned" to himself as they approached Archangel. Giving Archangel a slight bow, he saw that the monkey was there as well. A small frown flitted briefly across his face, but Hohiro schooled his expression and made a second, less pronounced bow in Greta's direction.
"Welcome to.... wherever this is..." Hohiro said politely.
Noticing the cave nearby, he decided to see what he could see from the outside. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust, but he saw mostly stone, but also another rock with black flecks in it. He walked over and started to punch the stone, noticing that it took quite a bit longer for it to break apart than the wood had. He punched another pair of blocks until he had three. He stepped outside into the light and set down the crafting table he had made. He saw that the crafting table was made up of 9 blocks. Taking a moment for focus inward, he found the recipe he was looking for and placed two sticks in the middle, and the three blocks of stone across the top. Almost instantly, the items combined into a stone pickaxe that Hohiro picked up with a smile.
He turned back to the rest as a natural pause in the conversation came about. "Just like our ancestors, we get to start out by making stone tools and progressing to more civilized equipment." He held up the pickaxe for them to see. "I think we should start by making tools, and building shelter. Unless you've got better ideas? I haven't seen anything dangerous yet, but we're out in the wild, so anything is possible."

Archangel grinned as he saw the others stumble their way into the clearing he had made. He chuckled at the remarks before holding up his gauntlet as the green pulses quickened with the proximity of the others. He indicated his gauntlet and said, "I have a tracker on you. Simple enough to find. As for the tree..." He strode over to a patch of grass near the matchstick tree and kicked the cinder remains of the zombie Greta had immolated before continuing, "...There are some nasty creatures in this place and one got too close to that tree before Greta expertly dispatched it." Nodding to Hohiro who had made the same deduction just a few moments earlier. He walked over and tossed a full set of neolithic stone tools at the feet of everyone, save Hohiro who was instead gifted a sword, axe and spade as he already had the pickaxe, before producing and consuming an apple from one of the trees he felled earlier.
"I have experience with this realm although in a somewhat indirect manner... It has strange rules that are in some cases quite counterintuitive. I'm sure you've figured out how to use your inventory and it appears Hohiro has figured out crafting to some degree but let me give you a few more tips. We will need food for multiple reasons, to stave off starvation, allow for swift movement of our bodies and to allow healing if we get injured. Healing is near instantaneous in this realm as long as you are well fed." Archangel pointed to the sun before continuing, "Darkness allows for the spontaneous generation of monsters here. Zombies, skeletons, giant spiders and biologically explosive plant creatures affectionately called creepers. You'll be able to tell those particular bundles of hatred apart from the other plants as they move and make sharp hissing noises when approached. We will need to find some shelter that is well lit, although as I recall monsters can't appear if the area is nearby one of us and being directly observed." Archangel spun on his heel and began walking towards the mouth of the cave with his pickaxe gripped in his left hand.
Greta hopped off his shoulder and produced a small flame in her hand with which she lit the end of a stick to make a hand torch and lead the way into the darkness of the cave mouth. Archangel stopped at the mouth of the cave before glancing back and saying , "I have presents for everyone once we're sufficiently safe." With that he located a vein of coal and began to collect it with his pick as Greta shon her hand torch around the walls of the cave looking for other useable ores.

Breeze accepted the new tools from Archangel and kept note of where they were and how she could quickly swap between the different tools. She listened to Archangel’s expertise on the world and followed her companions into the cave. Immediately she could hear dripping water, and echoes of things moving further down under them. Breeze wasn’t sure she liked the sound of giant spiders, or the explosive plant creatures called creepers. Archangel started mining a set of blocks that were stone with black marks in them. As the block broke, and little lumps of black matter fell to the ground before he collected them. Breeze appreciated the light that Greta was providing them, and Breeze tentatively used her pickaxe to break a couple blocks of the stone, getting cobblestone, and some andesite. She hadn’t even realized that they were two different kinds of stone, they were so similar.
“Huh, it looks like there is more than one kind of stone here,” Breeze said as she wanders down the tunnel a bit further at the edge of the light. She found some different colored stone, and mining it gave her granite and diorite. Breeze found herself already wondering what she could make with this, when she heard something going ‘clunk’ just a few meters away from her. It sounded like something hollow landing on the stoney ground. Squinting into the darkness, Breeze had just enough time to duck as an arrow flew at her, and stuck into the ceiling just above her head.

Luna watched as Archangel tossed a bunch of tools too everyone and goes to pick up her set. Inspecting them she appears to have a stone sword, axe, pickaxe and a shovel.
"...We will need food for multiple reasons, to stave off starvation, allow for swift movement of our bodies and to allow healing if we get injured. Healing is near instantaneous in this realm as long as you are well fed."
That's good to hear, as long as you can stuff your face injury shouldn't be too bad.
"Darkness allows for the spontaneous generation of monsters here..." Archangel starts and then explains the different kinds. Spontaneous generation huh? Likely not alive then even without considering the undead two. While mindless monsters are annoying it's better then fighting things that can think, strategize and are properly sentient. Luna still holding the bundle of tools and a stick carefully opens her pouch with her free hand and slips the bundle inside having them seemingly vanish though a keen eye could see that her pouch does get more visually fuller it's just not tied to the actual size of the objects put into it. She then reaches in and pulls out the pick before heading into the entrance of the cave and start mining some black spotted rock and sure enough her guess was correct when a little black ball of coal popped out. At least it feels like coal when picked up anyway, she idly stuffs it in her pouch while starting on the next one, eventually disappearing as this batch of coal goes a bit deep.
Eventually she hears a jangly clunk echo through the cave and what sounds like an arrow. Luna peeked out from the hole she's made and see's Breeze crouching and looking at something she can't quite see. Luna hops out of the small tunnel and jogs towards her pick held tightly. She was only jogging as she didn't know anything was wrong yet but that changed when she saw an arrow fly into Breeze. Luna's eyes widened as she stuffs her pick back into her pouch and pulls out the stone blade holding it in two hands ready to drive it through the skull of whatever just hurt Breeze, which turns out to be a skeleton. Luna sprints towards it, brings the blade over her head and crashes it down unto the skull of this skeleton sending it back a bit.

Hohiro frowned slightly as the gear landed at his feet. Not because he thought it was rude, but simply because he had trained and grew up with the mentality that one never disrespected tools or weapons by treating them carelessly. He started to reach for them and noticed that they weren't actually in contact with the ground. They hovered about a quarter inch above the ground. As his hand neared 6 inches from the items, one 'teleported' into his hand and the others vanished into his inventory space. His grin returned. In that case, sheer proximity to items would allow him to pick them up. That held many useful advantages for efficient harvesting.. or in combat.
As the others turned to their own mining efforts, he decided to mine in a different direction entirely. East and down. The first block he uncovered after clearing away the stone was a block speckled rock that called itself coal when it vacuumed itself into his inventory. He took a few moments to glance through the recipe book before creating himself several torches. After all, there was no reason to waste Archangel's good natured warning of beasties in the dark. However, it was rather difficult to use the pickaxe and use the torch at the same time. He took out a torch and looked for someplace on the wall to try and cram it in place.
Turned out that it stuck to the wall on it's own. How.... Hohiro decided not to care about. It provided enough light to see about 7 meters. After mining 15 meters from the torch, he took out another and placed it. He judged that it was maybe a bit too dark, so he moved it back two meters so the light would overlap better. Satisfied, he mined as much the various blocks as he could. He found some speckled with a tan effect, which reported itself as iron ore in his inventory. There was copper, granite, and more coal. The further down he went, he came across other items such as emerald, lapis lazuli, and gold. However, it was about this time that his pickaxe broke and he'd run out of wood to make torches.
He shrugged and made his way back up the "stairs" he had created until he passed into the main corridor that everyone else was in. Just in time to see Luna slap a skeleton into oblivion with her stone sword.

Archangel was elbow deep in toches when he heard the unmistakable clattering sounds of the fleshless living dead. He slammed the last few pieces of coal onto the sticks and turned to see that Luna had caved the creature's head in with her stone blade. "Well done Luna. You managed to fight the skeletal sniper without catching an arrow. They normally have incredibly accurate aim with their bows..." Archangel chuckled to himself as Hohiro appeared from a mine he had created himself off in a seperate direction.
He turned to regard the other man and said, "Looks like you had some success down below. I don't wish to presume your intentions but I doubt you would have come out of your mine unless you needed something. Either food or wood is my guess and I have plenty of both if you wish to share." Archangel tossed half a stack of logs onto the floor beside a floating bunch of 16 apples. "If you happened upon iron down below you'll want to smelt it in a furnace as an iron pickaxe is required to harvest specific types of ore. I don't remember all the contents of that list but the most important ore is firmly an iron pick or better ordeal."
Whilest Archangel was busy speaking with Hohiro Greta had taken it upon herself to approach the duo of furred femmes. She quietly chittered to herself as she approached before jumping a full two feet from the ground as Luna smashed the skull of a skeleton that had attacked Breeze. Once she got hold of her bearings, and heart rate, she let out a happy ook and moved closer. She produced a bundle of torches and began firmly lodging them into walls and floors. The immediate area was lit up before she finally came to stand before Breeze and Luna. The chipper smile on her face melted into obvious and embarrassing nerves plastered over her tiny features.
Were Greta not coated in fur they would see the slight shivering of her flesh with anxiety. The strange twisted look of her facial features on the other hand were extremely visible. She walked closer and attempted to speak, a mess of chitters spanning her vocal ranges that would be completely indecipherable to any listener save Archangel; who couldn't hear her slightly hushed vocalizations. She suddenly stopped, seemingly realizing that she was speaking French in Japan, slapped herself hard in the forehead before instead moving her fingers, slowly and deliberately, in American Sign language. She apologized before continuing to state she was a bit anxious and asking if those observing could forget her blunder for the sake of her self-esteem.

Breeze pulled the arrow out of her shoulder. It hurt, and she could see that she’d lost of a bit of health through her peripheral vision. It quickly filled back up, and she lost a bar of two of the chicken nuggets. “Well that sucked,” Breeze commented, rubbing her shoulder even though it wasn’t sore anymore. “Good to know though, do not run into a skeleton face first if you can manage it.” Grabbing her pick axe, Breeze went to return to mining before the area around her started to light up. She wasn't sure what it was at first, but soon realized that it was Greta placing torches throughout the cavern around them. Greta then stopped before them and Breeze could see that the little creature was shaking slightly. Breeze knelt as the little creature took a step forward, followed by a series of chittering noises. She very much seemed to be making a point when she suddenly froze and then facepalmed. Breeze was worried the little creature was about to injure herself further when Greta took a deep breath and started moving her hands in something that was very similar to the languages Breeze had been forced to learn back home. It was similar, not the same, and Breeze could only guess as to what the little creature was trying to communicate.
Breeze repeated in her own version of ASL the phrases that she'd understood. She was extremely out of practice, but she reinforced the words with vocalizations, "Sorry, anxious, you?, blunder, and self something?" Breeze repeated back, not entirely sure she'd even gotten that much right. "Why don't you come with us while we get a few more supplies, we'll see if we can get this ironed out." Breeze lowered a paw, offering Greta the ability to easily climb up her arm before standing again and heading further down the cave. Breeze ate a few of the apples that Arch had provided. While still trying to bridge the gap, Breeze collected an array of different blocks and materials. Cobble, Andesite, Granite, Diorite, coal, a bit of iron, and eventually her last stone pickaxe broke. She’d heard what Arch had said about smelting the iron, and she could see in her recipes that a furnace could be made with eight cobblestone. So, she created a few furnaces, threw coal into them and started smelting some of the iron. Watching the stacks smelt down, she noticed the coal was able to smelt 8 of the iron with 1 coal. Committing that information to memory, Breeze used the crafting table to put together the iron and the last of her sticks into a set of iron pickaxes. Breeze used this opportunity to sign her version of the word 'iron' to Greta, pointing at one of the remaining ingots.

Luna bopped the skeleton a few more times as it fires arrows sloppily almost in panic before it fell to pieces, leaving behind a few glowey orbs, an arrow and two bones. She walked closer to pick up the items when the little orbs jump to her with a little ding, it felt a little funny but she could also feel that their useful somehow. Mentally shrugging she bends over and picks up the arrow and bones, stuffing them into her pouch.
"Well done Luna. You managed to fight the skeletal sniper without catching an arrow. They normally have incredibly accurate aim with their bows..." Archangel chuckles
"Thanks, it seemed pretty distracted until I bopped it" She responds placing her sword back in her pouch. She then heads back over to where Breeze was who now has a furnace and is putting together some iron picks. "You okay?" Luna asks with a warm smile seeing that Breeze is likely okay.
“well getting hit with the arrow sucked. But it’s already healed and doesn’t hurt to bad.” Her companion said.
"As long as you are okay" Luna says with a smile before an idea pops into her head. She reaches into her pouch and pulls something out "Bone?" Luna offers with a grin that says 'I'm trying to lighten the mood and/or make you laugh.'

Hohiro nodded to Archangel. "I need more wood for torches. And, I think I will try to create an iron pickaxe. I found some various blocks below. Have your pick." Hohiro picked up half of the wood and apples. He kept most of the coal he had found, but threw out 4 piles of 64. He also tossed out some lapis lazuli and various colored stones such as diorite, granite, and andesite. He awaited his turn at the smelter, and then melted down the 7 iron he had found. Within a matter of moments, he had made himself 2 iron pickaxes. Hopefully, these would last longer than the four stone pickaxes earlier.
He tossed the remaining iron ingot onto the floor with the coal.
"We may want to wall this up, or put up a door if we are planning on staying here for much longer. We may also want to look at migrating and building a temporary camp." He paused for a moment. "And maybe some boxes, or crates too. I don't know if that stuff will go away on it's own if it's left sitting for too long."

Archangel nodded along with what Hohiro said, grabbing some of the stone on the floor, and moved to close up the entrance to the cave. Using some of his planks at one of the nearby crafting tables he build some doors, put one down on the mouth of the cave and placed a block in front of the wooden door. He had no desire to let a wayward undead break the door down while their backs were turned. Archangel then turned to flipping through the crafting catalougue looking for anything useful they could make with what they had found.
Greta understood part of what Breeze said to her in the strange, heavily accented sign language she used. Able to get the gist that Breeze understood only pieces of what Greta had said and something to do with supplies and irons. Breeze lowered her paw to Greta which the tamarin intuited was an invitation to roost on the wolf girl's shoulder. She climbed up and saw Breeze point to the iron melting in the furnace then sign something which was similar to the sign Greta used for iron. Greta chittered in recognition of the word. Greta then redoubled her focus on the surroundings in the room and Breeze's fingers so as to catch any other signs she may have used. Her mind being fully focussed on other matters her hands absentmindedly went to work grooming Breeze, putting stray pieces of fur in their rightful place, while softly humming a nursery rhyme.

Breeze let out a chuckle at Luna’s offer of a bone and took it from her, playfully pretending to bite it before offering it back to the fox. As they’d worked night had fallen and the only sources of lights were the torches and furnace just before it’d extinguished itself. The window of the door showed a starry sky that Breeze did not recognize, and she wondered just how long they were going to gather supplies for here. Breeze sat down on the furnace, finding it surprisingly cool to the touch considering it’d just been smelting iron and snacked on one of her apples. She seemed to be hungry almost all the time, even though she didn’t feel like she was doing any more than normal.
As she sat, she could feel Greta’s paws running through her fur and a small hum was coming from her. Breeze didn’t recognize the melody, but it sounded nice. Breeze signed and said to the small creature, “Does that song have a name? It sounds very nice.” Breeze was curious if Greta's version of ASL also had a way of spelling stuff out so you could teach other people what a certain sign meant. Sort of like giving someone all of the letters to make a word and then a shortcut to that word. Breeze kept an eye out for Greta’s reply while she continued to go through her inventory, getting a general idea of what she could make out of the supplies that she had. Apparently, you could make shears, a flint and steal with some of the flint she’d found, and of course more tools.

Luna chuckled with Breeze and put the bone back in her pouch when she offered it back. Luna then went back to mining and stuff finishing up that coal vein before hopping back up and heading a tad deeper, making sure to craft a few torches to light up her way as she went. She heard the idle noises of her friends get a tad distant but still hearing them echo through the lit up cave behind her. As she mined she kept putting the smaller 'portable' blocks and resources in her pouch. Speaking of which she did notice her pouch was visibly a tad more full, not quite sure how much she'll be able to fill it she decides to head back, making sure to remember to grab the crafting table she built on the way back. Once back she glanced at everyone to see what they were doing before finding an out of the way but still visible place to put her crafting table down as well as a furnace of her own to help speed things up a bit. Placing some iron and coal into it all's she could do was wait so she spun around and sat down on the floor, laying her back against the wall and watching what Breeze and Gretta were doing. Seeing them moving their hands and fingers about it clicked in her head that that was sign language but she never did learn it, the fact that she can recognize it at all must be some stray memories from another life. That thought got her thinking though she knows better then to pry, as much as she wants to know more she knows trying to remember would just cause pain. Luna's mind was in a bit of a loop for a moment, only being broken by her furnace light going out as it finishes smelting up the iron she had. She took a few and placed it in a horizontal line with a couple sticks below it and out pops an iron pickaxe. This made Luna smile and her tail wag a bit as she feels accomplished before turning back to the others to check in.

Hohiro, having restocked, returned to his "mineshaft" as he called it. He reached the bottom and resumed his burrowing. Eventually, he located several other blocks that he hadn't seen before. A few of them gave him some red dust and others gave him emeralds. He even managed to find a few diamonds, but not many. The diamonds seemed very rare. After mining in a few directions he found some sort of mine. And actual mine... and from his vantage point, he saw several dozen spiders, green frowning monsters, and several zombies. He quickly sealed up the entrance, placed a few torches around it to mark it as special... And then made his way back up to the top.

Archangel finished flipping through the crafting catalogue after finding nothing useful to be built with what he had. He took in the scene around him that the ladies were entertaining themselves and that Hohiro had wandered back into the depths looking for materials. As he didn't want to interrupt Greta's time with Breeze and Luna; Archangel decided to become a mole. Grabbing the crafting table he had put down earlier he found a sturdy untouched wall and began to dig. He was quite deep underground with an inventory partially full when Hohiro re-eemerged from his mineshaft.
Greta noticed Breeze's fingers flash before her, seeming to be asking something about the sounds the small tamarin was making now. Greta stopped, shifting to plant one foot on either side of Breeze's head so that her small hands were directly visible to Breeze, and she signed that it was a nursery song that she sung to her children to help them get to sleep. The song didn't really have a name but Archangel had called it her Bedtime Spell. She continued that the name had more significance to them with the correct context, but that additional context was a rather long story. Once Greta had finished her slow and methodical signing she crawled back over onto Breeze's shoulder and began sorting through one of the tiny pouches on her belt.

The song had made Breeze a little drowsy and she decided to lean back on her perch against the wall behind her, her wings cushioning her back. She could now hear Greta rummaging around in her bags right next to her ear, but she tried not to be nosey about it. Instead, she looked to Luna and asked her, “After Hohiro is done gathering everything he needs, we’ll probably want to take everything back to the tower for storage. I’ve never been able to call the doors from this side, do you think maybe you could bring it to us, so we don’t have to go find it?” Breeze said before taking out a stick and nibbling on the end of it. The stick reminded Breeze that since they'd gone back home, she hadn't been able to summon any more flames. Taking the stick out of her teeth, she concentrated on it in front of her. After what felt like a good thirty seconds, the stick burst into flames. The shock of it surprised Breeze and the flame quickly went out. But even here, she was able to produce her own flame. I wonder if there is some sort of interference from the tower, or maybe, I can't seperate out the two different kind of flames when I'm there, Breeze thought to herself.

Hohiro made his way back to what he was calling "Caveholm." He did a few bits of exploratory off-shoots from his tunnel and found more iron, copper, and coal.
Feeling rather relaxed, he finally reached the top of the stairs. Stretching his muscles, he took in his surroundings and saw that Archangel was not there. Based on the new hole in the wall, Hohiro had a good idea where he went. He turned to the women.
"I found an abandoned mineshaft of some kind. It's infested with monsters, but if we can clear it out, it might speed up our stay by quite a bit. I saw some grey spiders, some more zombies, and some sort of green creature that seems to be unhappy about his surroundings."
He took out an apple and ate it as he waited to answer any questions they might have.

"Agreed" Luna said and nodded walking across the small area to an out of the way section that's still visible to the entrance as she doesn't want the door to be in the way. Luna concentrated on her essence, allowing her energy to become active again from it's dormant state. Her eyes started to glow the same light blue as her essence just before she raised a hand up to focus her essence towards the part of their temporary cave home she was going to use to place their doorway back but she encountered resistance. "Huh..." Luna said idly as she raised her power more causing light blue glittery lights to form around her fur. "Come on..." Luna said slightly annoyed as she raised her other hand and her power yet again causing the essence glitter to be a bit more intense. Luna started to strain just a bit and where her arms are pointed there's a singular point that starts to appear that when looked through distorts the area behind it as if the space itself is being altered. Luna paused for a moment and lowering her arms to stare at the still empty spot before gritting her teeth, pulling her arms up and back before thrusting them forward sending a wave of light blue fire-like essence at the spot distorting space a bit more and holding it for a few seconds before she recoils, stepping back a few steps, lowering her arms and panting "I... think we might have a bit of an issue" Luna pants as her eyes return to normal, no longer fully glowing light blue. "I can't seem to pull the doorway here" She says still staring at the empty spot which slowly returns to normal, the distortion slowly vanishing. "Well... I could but that would rip a huge hole across this universe which it might not recover from." Luna explains, scratching her chin a bit before turning back to Breeze "We'll either have to find our way back to the doorway manually or figure out what's blocking the doorway and if able, stop it."
"Since it’s likely that we are stuck here for a bit. We’ll need to setup a base of operations. This is fine," She gestures to cave, "but we’ll need something a bit more. In the meantime though, we should gear up and check out that mineshaft. Perhaps we can figure out more about the technology of this world."

Archangel had been mining for some time when he heard distant voices coming from up his mineshaft in the cave above. It sounded like Hohiro had returned, or he was speaking to himself while he explored nearby. Archangel was simply mining the last piece of coal in a vein when the first rule of video game spelunking was broken. He had broken the ore he was standing on carelessly and now he was plunging into the yawning darkness of a cavern awaiting below. A few moments of terrifying freefall was the only respite he was given before the cruel and unmoving floor lept to greet him; bones cracking upon their embrace. The fall had fully halved his remaining strength and as his senses returned he heard the telltale growls of monsters from the darkness around him. He pulled forth his stone blade and left a trail of torches as he tactically retreated from the closing monsters deeper into the mine shaft he now found himself in.
Greta noticed the return of Hohiro followed closely by the conversation of issues Luna had attempting to open a portal home. A moment passed before a faint noise echoed from both Hohiro and Archangel's mine shafts. It took Greta's sharp ears a moment to register that it was a distant and echoing scream. She ooked loudly in surprise, leaping clear from Breeze's shoulders, before scurrying closer to the mine Hohiro had dug. Opening her ear she could hear further faint sounds and a voice that was unmistakably Archangel's; followed by some distant explosions. The sounds sharpened in clarity following these explosions. Adrenaline flooding her tiny frame Greta took off like a flash into the decending mineshaft; dashing past branches and offshoots to her embattled friend below. She left a trail of scorch marks in the shape of her tiny hands and feet as the adrenaline unconsciously was triggering her pyrokinesis as she ran. All the better as the scorch marks would distract from the trail of tiny tears which coincidentally was also following the poor tamarin as fear and worry filled her thoughts.
